Hello again from the Friends of Bilbrook. Now summer is here, hopefully you have been out and about in Bilbrook to appreciate some of the lovely wildlife and wild flowers in and around Jubilee Wood and Moat Brook. We have confirmed sightings of pike in the stream and toads in the wooded area. Go for a wander, see what you can spot and please let Friends of Bilbrook know of any interesting finds.
You may have noticed that the water in Moat Brook, as it flows past Jubilee Wood and down to the footbridge, has been cloudy and silted up on more than one occasion recently. It is a form of pollution and potentially very harmful to acquatic wildlife - it has been reported to the Environment Agency. If you notice any form of pollution relating to this watercourse please contact the Environment Agency's incident line on 0800 807060.
